When I composed the work for this album "Let The Drums Speak" I chose that title for a reason. This album is not just an expression of me as a musician and my musical influences. It is also my way of telling my story or painting a picture of some of my experiences over the recent years. Loss of loved ones, loss of friendships, tempting relationships that were not good for me, etc. I chose to paint these pictures solely through grooves I came up with on my primary instrument of the drums. Just kick, snare, hi-hats or kick, snare, ride. No fills or embellishments. Through this I hope you will not only enjoy the variety of grooves presented here but also get a glimpse into my story and emotional experiences through the grooves that I play!
