Biography
Jeremy Simon is an accomplished drummer composer and educator in the jazz scene and beyond. He is known for his musical versatility and creativity often blending other genres with Jazz.
In 2016, Jeremy graduated from Temple University’s Boyer College of Music with a Bachelor’s in Jazz Performance. Since then, he has played with countless artists and musicians around the East Coast. He has also played at esteemed venues such as The House of Blues, Smalls Jazz Club , and the Knitting Factory, and made TV performances on shows such as the Q show. He is currently working as a private music educator while still leading his own jazz trio, and performing regularly as a sideman as well.
Drawing from many of his tougher life experiences, he composed his first album “Let the Drums Speak”, an all original solo drum project with the concept that music expresses what words cannot. This album transcends genre labeling and constantly flows between different styles. On a deeper level it makes a bold statement that the drums can speak for themselves musically without any other instruments involved.
